Default Unattainable settlement

I don't know if that's just the server I'm on, but everytime I have to find a settlement, it's always something completely unreachable at the top of a friggin' mountain where you have to walk an eternity, jump everywhere, die a good thousands time, walk trough the same place a zillion times because you can't find the way to go. Yesterday I spent half an hour finding my settlement because it was at the very top of a mountain, at the edge of a cliff somewhere.

The problem is, when you spawn, you spawn at the complete bottom of the world ; now considering the arrow doesn't help much, and the aspect of the world doesn't really help seeing things, why can't we enter the world somewhere a little more closer to the settlement we're supposed to go ?

It's even more problematic since pretty much every night, most of the settlement are destroyed by the AI while we're asleep. As a result, everyday I lose the will to launch Love because I know I will have to go trough that « finding the lost settlement » phase. Sure it's fun in the beginning, you explore the world and everything. But after the tenth time being stuck walking as a zombie because you can't find the invisible half-destroyed stair hidden behind a tree, it kind of becomes frustrating. :/

I sort of agree... I usually don't have too much trouble getting to a settlement, but I totally agree with the annoyance of having it destroyed every night... It would be nice if it would last a wee bit longer, say a few days at least... Alas, it is quite fun to build a new one tho... Plus this is just the Alpha, I'm sure the final release will be very different.

But I hear you on navigation to the new settlements... It should log you in / spawn you at least a bit closer.

the settlements are there because there are the only positions the AI can't reach i guess, tried building one on a nice plain and got pwnd in less than 4 minutes.
