Has anybody had success running Love on Wine version 1.1.37? Right now, the loading screen flashes for a second and then it closes. When running from terminal I get Code: nik@VIZ070-L:~/Desktop/love_beta$ wine love fixme:keyboard:X11DRV_LoadKeyboardLayout L"00000409", 0080: stub! fixme:keyboard:X11DRV_LoadKeyboardLayout L"00001009", 0001: stub! Im running love with Ubuntu and Wine. It runs great and I never had to do any fancy magic. Check Loves "my_stdout.txt". I bet it stopped at the sound init. When Eskil added sound my client did the same thing as yours. Go to Configure Wine and change the sound to "Esound" and "emulation". That should fix it! Edit: Ups, that was a bit "fancy magic"....

I am running Wine on my Macbook and it worked right out of the box for me, as well. At least, the initial screen. I have yet to get an account. Are there any settings to optimize its performance? And perhaps a page should be written for WineHQ- that is, if I somehow missed it when I was searching for information. |

I still haven't managed to get this working. I even compiled wine from scratch (in a 32bit Chroot, no less!) so that I could get GSM support. For all those who've got it working on Wine post your GFX info. Same deal to all those who DON'T have it working. I've got an NVidia 8600 GT, and my current driver is version 190.53 (the proprietary NVidia driver for linux) I'm about to attempt a more recent version of the driver (195) and if that doesn't work, I'll try an older version. I REALLY REALLY REALLY want love to work on wine, because love is absolutely awesome, and I've had no other gaming experience like it. (But I still refuse to install Windows) |

Have you tried to switch to esound and emulation? I was running 190.53 drivers, too, with a gt9600. But when its stops with the sound init its the sound that causes the problems not the gfx drivers.
