Finally! A forum game! This one's pretty simple, person above you posts a link to a song (or embeds the video from YT), you give the song a rating, out of 1o maybe, or just say what you like and dislike about it, and then you post a link or video of your own for the person below you to rate. Here's mine, Fick, by Skream. The wobble doesn't kick in properly until 3:40 into the track.

I liked that very much. Unsure of what rating to give to be honest. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6gYbgZUgMc0 |

Interesting. They could have a future in the biz. A step more towards dub and I would buy it. Heres mine: Dante Bucci - Fanfare http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UNJswfXKJ3s Hang on!

Not exactly my cup of tea, but I immensely respect that man's talent. The sheer skill involved is worthy of praise regardless of whether or not it's something I'd buy a CD of. As such, it's tough to really give it a rating, but I'm going to say 8/10. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sfksVsSiV-A |

Not an industrial band I'd head of before, liked the beat, the singing wasn't my kind of thing though, 7/10. By the way, to embed a YouTube video, you can use the [youtube] BB tag. Just put the video ID between the tags, not the full link.

Dude... Terrorfakt is pretty damned hard to mess with. The beats are harsh, the instrumentals crushing, and when I saw them live, they used a rotary sander as an instrument. 9/10 all day every day. For a change of pace from all the oontz: |

Ah, Empyrium - soon to be called "old school". Great stuff and deserves a 8/10. On Empyrium I reply with My dying bride... no easy decision which song I should take, so I thought its worth to celebrate the return of the violin: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wCdoXtp7qsI

Well, not bad but typical, overdone metal-style. The song lacks a climax and I liked those staccato riffs 15years ago but today I expect more diversity. Hence 6/10. An example of what I mean is Hypocrisys "Adjusting the sun" (maybe too fast). Notice the diversity through tempi changes, general vocals vs. bridge/chorus and rythym guitar vs. lead guitar.

Not too sure which one to rate, so I'll rate them as a whole. 7/10 not really my kind of music, but I can't find anything wrong with it, it's just not particularly to my taste. One day, I'm going to go skydiving, and I'll be listening to this song as I do it.

8/10 Isis rules. I've been loving their new album! This band is pretty cool. Most of their songs tell a story in Swedish during the calmer parts. Not a whole lot of singing/screaming done in any of their songs. It's mostly ambient music with someone talking in Swedish about the song's focus. Won't load for me with Youtube tags so I left it without em. =[ iamacyborg edit: You added an extra p at the end of the URL, numpty :P Last edited by iamacyborg; 03-29-2010 at 07:09 PM. That was an awesome song, really enjoyed it. I was reminded of a cross between Isis and A Silver Mt Zion. 10/10. Scraping Foetus off the Wheel - Throne of Agony. This is the guy that does the music for The Venture Bros. He's a genius.

Pretty cool. I'd never heard that band before, but the song reminds me a lot of classic 1980s goth rock ala Sisters of Mercy and Fields of the Nephilim, which I have a tremendous soft spot for. I think it's the echoing, cavernous drums, downtuned guitar, and those vocals that shift between sharply intense and sort of hollow and forlorn. |

Pretty cool, but sort of repetitive. Also didn't like the end, where it was just silent for a while. Would make great battle music, though. ^^ 7/10 EDIT: Yet again, not loading for me. Here's the link just in case. |
