Default How do I disable flicker effects?

Hi,

I'd like to disable the flicker effects through any method available. Can someone give me some pointers? Thanks!

Switching the game to "low end mode" will reduce some of the post processing effects.
Some people prefer to play in "low end mode" even if their machines run the game just fine because they don't like some of the effects.

However, the wording on the button is currently reversed. If it says your in high end mode then you are in low end mode. The easiest way to tell is to look at the trees or grass. If the grass is moving in the wind you are in high end mode.

Ape found a way previously but the download hasn't worked for a long time.

Apparently, it's just a case of editing a game file with a hex editor, but I wouldn't know where to begin.

Another member, Immortius also mentioned that GLIntercept can be used to remove the blur.

The in-game toggle is wrong, but the menu one is fine.

I have tried GL intercept and you can disable some of the post processing effects, just not the one that causes the most migraine inducing flickering (as it is not a shader).

A fix would reqire de-compiling the game and that is an annoying ordeal.

I asked the dev a last september if he considered adding an option to disable it.
He dismissed the idea on account of trying to prevent some players having advantage over others (in a co-operative game devoid of any player versus player interaction).

If you find some kind of fix ( for example introducing another post processing effect on top the ones already in place to stabilize the visuals and make them less aggravating seems like a possible solution in theory) send me a message as i would really like to be able to play that game without having to gobble aspirin for the next two days.
