AI Artillery is not your Friend

AI Artillery is the meanest enemy of a settlement. With an open monolith and without sub monoliths a settlement will be in great danger, because a single, lucky shell can destroy the settlement!
Powered forcefields offer some protection but the only way to get rid of artillery is to watch for the smoke trails in the sky, warn the others and rush the artillery base.
Don't hesitate!

AI Troops drop tasty Stuff

Killed AI troops drop energy- and sometimes health pods. In a stressing combat situation picking them up can make the difference between victory and death. Health pods that you pickup from the AI will instantly be consumed.

Ask - Share - Coordinate - Cooperate

You should have read the unwritten etiquettes of Love to avoid confusion - it's not only all about behaviour but to keep a settlement alive

Ask and share: It's not only for newcommers important to ask whats going on, but also for the experienced players

• ask who's currently building the base
• ask who's token hunting
• ask where to place tokens, so the settlement won't become a utter mess
• share, e.g. the coordinates of AI bases, artillery fire and knowledge about incomming AI's
• coordinate and cooperate with settlement building, token hunting and regular scouts of the surroundings for AIs.

Names are assigned

On each server you join you get a name assigned that will stay. Names can't be choosen or changed.

Scout, scout, scout

Often settlements fall only because a single, sneaky AI got unnoticed to the monolith and destroyed it. Scout the proximity of the settlement regulary to prevent AI assaults, single scavangers and AI bases. And, no, scouting does not mean just standing on the walls - make your hands dirty and explore the surroundings!

The Infamous Smooth Edit lift

There are two ways to use the smooth edit tool as a kind of lift. Remember that smooth editing not only works within the Sphere of influence but on ice tiles, too!
One way is to simply raise the tile youre standing on.
The second way is to carve out a piece of a tile/column, step inside the carved out space and use smooth edit to close the space. You will insta-pop on top of the tile!

The Teleporter is your Friend

Learn how to use the config tool and maybe the binoculars.

Get the config tool. Look if there's a teleporter next to the settlement. Make a marker with it's coordinates by pointing the crosshair at it, release the mouse and press "Coordinates" down in the taskbar. When you roam the wild now and find tasty tokens you just have to look for the next teleporter and enter the coordinates of the "home teleporter" with the config tool. Step on the teleporter and your nearly home.
