Cable Relays are dashed curved lines of light, spanning between rotating claw-like masts which the AI uses to transport powerups from place to place. They are configurable with the config tool, and can be attached to by jumping onto the wire at the local mast. Pressing space while on the wire will disconnect the player. This includes pressing space while chatting, so it's best to stay quiet while travelling by this method.

If you erect a Cable Relay directly adjacent to a building which manufactures power-ups, they will be automatically transported along the cables. Unfortunately, since you can't erect relays outside your own settlement, this is currently of limited use. However, pods stack at the end of the relay, possibly infinitely, whereas the manufacture device will otherwise stop producing pods after the eighth. The relay makes these devices much more productive.

Following a network of Cable Relays will usually place you in an AI base. This can be useful for the purposes of raiding an AI settlement for tokens. The Relays will more often than not be moving away from the base: binoculars can be used to find the coordinates of the beginning relay and reverse the Cable-Flow.

Paired Relays can be linked to one another, allowing bidirectional travel, with none of the glitches associated with looped teleporters. It is currently unknown what would happen if this were done with a Cable Relay transporting Pods.
