The power reflector tool allows the player to place power reflector's within a settlement. Placing these power reflectors costs 100 power. Once placed, a power reflector can be configured just like any other reflector found in the wild. It might be wise to place several of these around the corners of a settlement high above the normal base, so that they have a line of sight to anywhere nearby.
Effective Use
As mentioned previously, power reflector's appear naturally in the world. They take an incoming power beam, and can split it into two power beams, each with their own coordinates. If the beam is split between 2 coordinates so is the power.
If you want to connect power wires effectively, you can use Binoculars and the Config tool. Aim for the next power wire with the binoculars and click the left mouse button. By doing so, you store the coordinates of the remote power wire into your HUD. You can now use the config tool to enter the new coordinates without moving a step.
The AI will sometimes make use of Locked Power Wires. These cannot be edited using the Config tool but can be temporarily disrupted by shooting the circut breaker at the base.
There are rumors from Eskil that power wires will soon have the ability to be changed remotely using a radio.
